MESPAS is pleased to announce the rollout of the new software version Cyprus. This release has also been developed for a new customer based on the island of Cyprus and includes a range of features tailored to their operational requirements.
As MESPAS operates one unified platform, these improvements are available to all customers. In addition, numerous improvements requested by existing users have been incorporated. Key highlights include:
Supplier catalogue visibility
Suppliers can upload product and pricing information directly into their MESPAS account. These catalogues are now visible to purchasers.
OCIMF report import
The Inspections module now supports importing official OCIMF export files, enabling users to manage inspection findings and track their resolution within the system.
Forwarder integration
Orders can now be exported automatically to logistics providers via an XML interface. Forwarders can also receive automatic notifications when an order is placed.
Compact design option
A new, optional interface layout reduces line spacing and minimises scrolling, significantly improving usability, particularly when working with extensive datasets.
Advanced procurement approval workflows
For multi-level approval processes, approval ranges can now be defined with upper and lower limits. An optional review step, based on the four-eyes principle, can also be activated to assign orders to a user group before the formal approval chain begins.
Enhanced API interfaces
Our APIs have been expanded. Vessel machinery lists and used-parts data can now be exported for analysis in third-party business intelligence and accounting systems too.
Default unit of measure (UoM)
The component list now includes a dedicated default unit field, ensuring consistent unit usage across all modules and stakeholders (vessel, office, supplier) for spare parts and catalogue items.
The MESPAS update process is fully automated and requires no customer involvement. The new version was installed on our central servers in 2.5 hours, followed by an 8-hour quality assurance phase. Vessel deployments then proceeded automatically via the standard synchronisation process. Within 8 days, 97% of all vessels confirmed successful installation of the new MESPAS Cyprus release.
